Giving speeches at conferences, events and trainings as an eTwinning ambassador or a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, I have been looking for a well-designed wireless presenter to enhance my presentation and boost its message.
I have found the perfect tool recently, it is the Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700 – a mouse and a laser presenter in one gadget.
It is a simple USB plug-and-play instrument – I just stick the receiver part of the presenter into a USB port of the computer/laptop and the device is ready to go.
It does not have a rounded shape, but it is rather angular and it feels slightly flatter and smaller – just the right design for me. It is a slick and compact mouse. Left click and right click sections work as one would expect. Scrolling could be considered somewhat amusing, as one needs to swipe the middle mouse button’s surface to do it. Pressing the Windows symbol at the end of the central section brings up the Start Menu.
I make my mouse flat when I want to activate the presentation mode – I need to subsequently press the Windows button twice quickly in succession to initiate it. My device allows me to advance a slideshow and to go back to the previous slide, and it also includes a laser pointer, which I use to highlight important facts. The laser only works when the mouse is completely flat. I move quickly and seamlessly through my presentation – a professional touch is thus added. I can walk around and engage my audience directly.
This is my current magic wand, which can indeed make the difference between a good presentation and an excellent one.
